Team Alignment…

…is essential. Nothing is made by one person. No one has the responsibility completely on their shoulders. Success comes from the free flow of ideas.

In any role, I foster a fearless, creative product environment that leads to alignment. We each have talents, interests and opinions that will help us get to a shared goal. I bring these goals to the surface through the same window of value that engages teammates without making it personal. That same alignment we achieve internally flows directly into brand promise, endowing our products with great integrity.

A solution for whom?

Every product provides a solution – but the audience isn’t a monolith. If we are to make assumptions about our audiences, I say let[‘s assume we do not know them. That way we have to go and find out. We are each a thousand audiences a day, but what stay consistent are the roles we play as we shift from task to task.

It is the role, not the person, that I focus on: As a banker, I want to move money securely from A to B. As a shopper, I want to quickly compare prices and choose the one to buy. These are stories we step into, and want solutions for. Knowing the real desire and friction behind each task is key to designing resolutions to their story.
