WE CAN MAKE
OUR OWN DAM
LET YOUR CREATIVE DEPARTMENT PAY FOR ITSELF BY SAVING YOU MONEY AND TIME.
There’s nothing stopping your team from making their own in-house digital asset manager that’s fully configurable and shared across your teams – except maybe they’re being given no time to organize because the product keeps changing everything every month.
They can even make a BRAND DAM - or can they?
I bet they can – and sharing it across projects makes them organized, efficient, and coordinated. It shouldn’t take them much time to build. Maybe a week. If they can’t make a brand dam I’ll make their damn brand DAM.
If you have a creative department and the company is paying for digital asset management software, it’s time to cancel the subscription. I can make your damn DAM, dammit, and your creative team can too.
You know why they’re not making their own DAM? They’re too busy making your damn products to make a DAM.
Nah, just joshing ya. But they are trying to make you happy, and get recognized for their work. They’re working under pressure and might not be given time to organize and coordinate.
I guarantee, when times get tough, the creatives look really good at the top of a spreadsheet, and they know it. The bottom line value of your creative team is hard to see. And you might be spending more money on enterprise software that they asked for, putting even more cost pressure on them to perform and deliver.
Rather than cut them and replace them with AI slop (trust me, it won’t work), get them to use AI to replace that enterprise software with light, in-house applications that work the way they need.
If they come to you saying we need a DAM, you can tell them, “Make your own DAM,” and then when they don’t, you can hire me, and I’ll make it.
Your creative team is worth keeping, but they need to be reusing and sharing the assets they make. That’s why they’re saying they need some crazy expensive DAM subscription that’s going to take them 6 months to port over to and learn how to use. It’s all you’ll hear about.
No, they already have the assets, but they don’t know what’s going to stick, what’s not going to change. Your product keeps changing. So stuff gets buried, forgotten, and then – I josh you not – MADE AGAIN 6 months later.
It’s as easy as making a bowl of cereal to create a shared DAM, in-house with configurable brand assets, guidelines, marketing language, strategies, personas, research findings, customer feedback, prototypes, containers, icons, elements, product profiles, and retreat photos without costing you a single enterprise subscription.
They probably need Figma. They don’t need a DAM. Make your own DAM.
AI doesn’t replace creatives. It replaces the subscription software they’re asking you to buy.
